Look at my babies!!

Hubbies new Puppy!!!!!



Have any of you had a spouse give you a hard time about getting a dog or cat that they did not really want to get? Well that is what i had to deal with for the last year but things have changed!!





Here is Toby. He is part Australian Shepard/ part saint benard. Hubby saw him when the shelter brought to the Pets Mart that is close to us. I was trying to be the voice of reason but I decided that I was not going to stand in the way if he really wanted Toby.

Toby is not yet a year. Because of his big feet

Here is Tank!!

This is Tanker and he is my Puppy. He is part Australian Shepard/ German Shepard. I got him when he was a puppy from my Sis Kae. I named him Tank because he was big for his age and has lived up to his name. What can I say. He is my baby.

Well the Last month and a half have very busy. I had my niece for a couple of weeks after school let out. Sometimes 4 kiddies can be a handful but for some reason all 4 kiddies were very good for the most part. We ended up going to a dinosaur museum. My eldest is nutty about dinosaurs and solders. If he could he would wear fatigues everyday!! LOL

I cant wait for school to start. I will love to have to time to myself. My eldest son was diagnosed with Auditor Learning Disability. The way this works with that he hears everything. Most people can filter out what we don't want to hear. Alex can not do this. So he is having to learn how to cope with this. We are going to have him in regular class this year. This is to see if he has learned what he needs to.

I have started to dye fabric. I am trying to get the background that I am wanting for the next project that i am wanting to do. I have found that I am not getting high color definition that I am wanting because Oklahoma has Hard Water!!! AAARRGGG!! So I am going to try somethings and see if it works. I am going to be selling some of my fabics on Etsy.com and at the Norman quilt Guild.

My SIS is BACK!!! YEA!!! She is home but I wish that things would have turned out differently for her. She was told that she would able to get in with her eyes as bad as they were but she found out when she got to boot camp that they were going to send her home on a medical discharge. Now My Twin and I have a saying when it comes to OUR Little SIS. "We are the only ones allowed to mess with her!!!" I just wish that I could help her to destroy the a--h--- that did this to her!!!

Been A Long Time

Hi all. Long time no write. Let's see. in the month and a half that it has been since I wrote last,my mother in law passed, I have been painting a room, puting up trim. dyeing fabric and finished a callenge quilt. It has been a heck of a month and a little half. Here is the Quilt.

It has been raingin cats and dogs here. We made up the rain that we needed for the last couple of years in the the last 3 weeks!! Now I dont mind rain but come on this needs to stop for little while. I have a 9 month puppy named Tank. and becuase of this rain I am having to give him bath every night because he gets so dang muddy!! Oh the Joys!!

It's Done!!

YEA!!!!! The dragon is finished being machine quilted! I still have to bind it but that is all good. This past week has been heck in getting it done. First it was the borders having to be be redone, then it was the machine that i was going to do the quilting with ,this was my mom's long neck sewing machine, decided that it wanted to have some TLC. The second machine ,my personal Ellan Quilters Dream, also decided that IT wanted Some TLC and I had had it serviced a couple of months ago.

Finally the THIRD machine worked like it was supposed to and though it took me a little over 4 hours each day for 2 days. It is finally done. I have learned that it is not a good idea to have a straight black backgound if you do not want quilting to show. This is the first quilt that I have machine quilted so the quilting is not the greatest in the world. I will get a finished pic on in the next week or so.

My hubby and I have been remodeling the house off and on for about 3 yrs now. We did my sewing room ,which is kinda small and i have to share with the washer and dryer, but i like it. The last year we have been working on turning our den ,which was a garage, into a master bed room so that the kiddies can all have a room to their selves. This has turned into a little more then we thought it would. The preveous owners did not know what the heck they were doing when they closed up the opening and what should we find? HHMMMMM!!! We found that the window was turned in sideways and that the wood that they had used to frame with was rotting!! AARRGGG!!

Well hubby, Tony ,friend, and myself spent today tearing it out and rebuilding the wall. I have to say that i thank the good lord above when he sent me my hubby because i am not sure that i would have been able to fix this mess. Needless to say that it is done except that we have to tape and bed and texture the wall, which i will do this week. Oh the joys of remodeling!! LOL

AARRGGG!!

Do you ever wish that the week that your in would just hurry up and end? That is what has been going on with me. I started to put the borders on my dragon quilt that i am working on and what should happen? I got three of the borders on and then i noticed that I was going to have to take them back off!! GGGRRRR This is getting me really irritaded. All that work shot because I am using a slippery fabric and was not being carefull to watch for puchers!! Dont get me wrong i love quilting but I hate to do the frog stich

I have 3 kiddies and today i had to answer the summance of one of their teachers. When i got there she woudl not talk with me. Then when my hubby arrive she would only talk with him!! I hate it when i am talked around like I am not even there!!! Oh well here is to hoping that things get better!

Ack!! Here there be dragons!

Well the time has come for me to get back to finishing my dragon quilt. I have been working on it for about 8 months but i have not done a whole lot since Nov.

I have been drawing a couple of other dragons that i hope to put into quilts someday soon.




Well I am off to quilt for now! Have fun!
